I put in for mine 4+ months ago and I have been calling them since the last
3 weeks. I got the brush off saying it's in processing. Well I just got a
letter in the mail saying it would be just 4-8 days and it would be here!
WOW I cant wait!!!! I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

I keep reading this same exact message at different places. Yet weeks later,
the same exact message keeps appearing again and again.

I suspect this is someone from XM or Delphi trying to pacify all of us that
never got our promised home kits.

In hopes that it is "on the way" "only a few more days"

BULLSHIT!

No one is ever going to get one.

Didn't it say something like, "While supplies last?" I heard someone was
told by a CSR that there wasn't any more so sorry they're not getting one.
Probably was just a stupid CSR at a call centre in India or something, who
knows but XM could have certainly handled this promotion a bit better.
Sirius had some promotion going on awhile ago where they were giving away
Sirius duffel bags and I think some are still waiting for them to this day!

No. I made a copy of the receipts and forms BEFORE I mailed them away like
most, so they don't have any PROOF anymore.

The reason I purchased at the price I did, is because the home kit was INCLUDED
in that price I paid.

Anyone could say "while supplies last" then only have one in supply, and make a
lot of sales with deceptive advertising like that, and thus why there are laws
against such deceptive practices.

Just like the Comcast support person that said there was no way to add
alt.radio.satellite or any new group to their server.

Most of them don't have any idea what they are talking about, and that is why
they have those jobs and not real jobs. They wouldn't last in a real job
where their idiotic actions and decisions would cause a company real trouble.

It is definitely giving most people a very bad taste in their mouths with their
first dealing with satellite radio, but most may be putting the blame on Delphi
instead of XM.

But I would not buy a radio based on getting a stupid duffel bag or T-shirt.
I did buy this radio knowing I could use it in the house and in the car. Not
getting the home kit is missing HALF of the system!

Lucky for me, I had a 12 power supply with cigarette jack to run it in the
house, but I don't like having to bring the antenna and the whole mess back and
forth from car to home, it is driving me nuts. I want to leave the antenna
inside the car, and hide the wires nicely, and just have to bring the tiny unit
back and forth and have power and antennas in both the house and car ready for
it.

Be assured the next time they offer a radio with free home kit, I will not
consider a deal like that ever again.

If I knew it was going to take this long, I would have bought a home kit by now,
then returned the other one when it arrived and demanded they refund the money I
paid for the other one.

As it is, I am told the home kit does NOT include the remote, which the
INSTRUCTION MANUAL says IS included.

More false and deceptive advertising.

I've personally talked to a couple of people this week whose home kits
have arrived in the last few days.

ROTFFL! That was a good one! Thanks, I really needed a laugh after all
those other posts I just read. Man my sides still hurt from laughing.
That was REALLY funny!

I will have to remember that one!

Nothing from me or my two friends who don't have theirs either.

I had the same problem, until mine showed up yesterday. Last week, I called
the rebate center, who gave me an 800 number for the company that was
handling the distribution. When I called the number, they answered "XM, can
I help you". This person told me what was going on. Apparently, the rebate
center forgot to forward a large batch of names to the distribution center.
The distribution center just recently got the names, and is working on
sending out the home kits. From the impression that I got, it sounds like
the rest of them are probably already in the process of being shipped.

I got mine after the predicted 8 weeks. I did call and give them a
nudge. I have two roadys so I had a second kit comming. The other day
TWO more kits arrived! Now I have three kits and two roadys.

More lies. Still never got one, and my friend never got his either.

Oh, and two weeks ago they said it was being mailed out that week. LIES LIES
