View Full Version : "Hey kids...what time is it?" (Sirius question)

I installed Sirius in my car last November. Don't know how I lived without
it. One curious thing, though. Twice since installation (most recently, in
the past few days), my receiver seems to have trouble telling what time it
is. The clock will be off by an hour, so I'll re-adjust the time zone, only
to have the clock get fouled up again later. I'm in Minneapolis; does
anybody else have similar stories to tell? It's really nothing more than an
inconvenience, as there's a perfectly good and accurate clock already in the
car. But if I can fix the problem, I'd like to.
Thanks,
DWJ

I also live in Minneapolis. I have never noticed the clocks on either
of my satellite radios--the car clock is right in front of me just below
eye level. I would assume that the clock signal comes from the
satellite datastream, so I wonder if Sirius was just messed up? What
kind of radio do you have? How long was it messed up before you did
ahything about it? To be honest, I don't even remember a time zone
setting on my radios.

I have the "old-fashioned" plug & play...sorry, can't remember model
numbers, but it's the one that fits in the first boombox, and is pictured in
the lower right corner of the homepage at Sirius.com.
I wonder if it had to do with the end of Daylight Saving Time? Maybe some
minor programming glitch? Ah well...
